Day 1 ARRIVE- DELHI
Assistance upon arrival at the airport by our
representative and transfer to hotel with briefing of the
tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 IN DELHI
Morning after
breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Old
& New Delhi. Among some of the most interesting
highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red
Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old
city area and the Government Buildings, a drive through the
majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, Humayun's Tomb and the
Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 DELHI-AGRA
Morning after
breakfast, depart by surface for Agra (204 kms/4 hrs approx).
On arrival check-in at the hotel. Later sightseeing of Agra
visiting the Agra Fort, and the Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal, built by
the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is
built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel.
Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The
building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum
rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna
flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz
Mahal and Shah Jehan. Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over
the years 1565-1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and
private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by
Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah
Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar's period apart
from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the
Jehangir
Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the
complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from
Hindu overtones. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 4 AGRA-FATEHPUR SIKRI-JAIPUR
Morning after breakfast leave Agra for Jaipur en-route
visit to Fatehpur Sikri Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital
of Mughal India. Among the principal attractions of Fatehpur
Sikri are the large audience halls, palaces, the Mosques, the
tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panchmahal, and the
Buland
Darwaza, which is among the biggest gates in Asia. On arrival
check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure Jaipur
- The capital of erstwhile Kachwaha Rajputs, Jaipur city was
founded in 1727 AD. by the great King Maharaja Jai Singh who
was not only a great
statesman but also a keen astronomer
and an architect. Overnight in Jaipur
Day 5 IN JAIPUR
Morning after
breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the
State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory
glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. Take a
ride on gaily-decorated elephant to the ramparts of the Fort.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Among the
principal sights are the Jantar Mantar or the Observatory, The
Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, The City Palace & Museum.
Jaipur is also a major center of precious and semi precious
stones, jewellery, cotton textiles and the typical Blue
Pottery. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 JAIPUR-DELHI-KATHMANDU
Morning
after early breakfast leave Jaipur by surface for Delhi (260
kms/6 hrs approx.) and upon arrival board flight to Kathmandu.
Assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 7 IN KATHMANDU
Morning after
breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city &
Swayambunath. Kathmandu is the capital of Hindu Himalayan
Kingdom of Nepal, is also known as Kantipur. Tour includes
visit to Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal
residential quarter, Mahadev and
Parvati Temple, Machender
Bahal, holy to both Buddhists and Hindus, and the Temple House
of Kumari the Vestal Virgin or the Living Goddess, who
acknowledges the greetings of devotees from the balcony of her
temple residence. Walk around the local bazaars and visit
Singha Durbar.
Swayambunath is said to be 2000 years old. The stupa, which
forms the main structure, is composed of a solid hemisphere of
brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a
pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four-sided base on the
spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. The whole area
round the stupa is an array of small stupas and temples.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Patan, an old Newar city
includes the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky
piercing Temple of Teleju, the statue of Yogendra Malla and
the old windows and carved balconies of wood, curio shops and
bazaars. Return via the Tibetan
Handicrafts and Refugee
Center. Evening visit the Casino. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 IN KATHMANDU
Morning after
breakfast, sightseeing tour of: Bodhnath, the colossal Stupa
is one of the largest in the world. This stupa has the all
seeing-eyes of the Buddha by king Mana Deva in
expiation
of his sins of the advice inset with prayer wheels.
Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples
dedicated to Lord Shiva situated on the banks of the sacred
Bagmati River. The temple is built in Pagoda style and has a
gilted roof & richly carved silver door.
Bhaktapur (also known as Bhadgaon) is the home of medieval
art & architecture. Bhaktapur was founded in the ninth
century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at a
height of 4600 ft above sea level. Visit the Durbar Square
with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55
windows built by King Bhupindra Malla and The Nyatapola
Temple. Evening visit the Casino. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 IN KATHMANDU
Breakfast at the
hotel. Day free to relax and playing Casinos. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 10 DEPART KATHMANDU
Breakfast at
the hotel. In time departure transfer to the airport to board
flight back home.
